The Ethnic Immigrant Institute

The Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology is a program of Concordia Seminary St. Louis, whose foundation and focus is to train and equip ethnic pastors’ of all nationalities for our church body.  Thus far, since 2003 we have trained over 60 pastors’ and missionaries who are now planting new congregations and reaching out to diverse ethnic groups who may never have been brought to our church body.  Through these means they have helped reflect Revelation 7:9closeRevelation 7:9 A Great Multitude from Every Nation 9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, (ESV) closeRevelation 7:9closeRevelation 7:9 A Great Multitude from Every Nation 9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, (ESV) A Great Multitude from Every Nation 9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, (ESV) , which encompass all tribes and nations.  This truly is our Lord’s intention that we should reach out to the lost.

The EIIT is a cutting edge theological education, whose medium of delivery has been through internet base.  While the program is four year duration, our students do not have to be residential and yet they gain a unique education taught by our renowned professors’ of Concordia Seminary St. Louis.  The program has all the different components that go to Form an outstanding missionary and servant of the Lord.

These men have come from rich missionary experiences from their home countries and this is reflected in their drive towards reaching out to the lost among their ethnic groups and beyond.  Many of them have enthusiastically planted new congregations in the various districts where they are serving.  Beyond that they have seen the responsibility as having to globally share the Lutheran faith in their countries of origin.  The Sudanese are a good example in planting several congregations in the new country of Sudan in Africa.  In my humble opinion, these men are the hope and aspiration of our church in this country as they seek to double their missionary vision and efforts.    “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile”.
