1. Chapter One 90 Day Goals- 2015.2.1

Short term goals which fit into the bigger picture are very important for congregations. Short term goals are helpful for momentum because by God's grace, through His means and under His direction they produce quicker results. Quick results are important for momentum and unity.

Goals must always be driven by God's revealed will as found in Scripture and explained in our Confessions; they must also be contextualized to the local congregation and her Pastor. The attached form is what we currently use when studying chapter one of "iPray" with congregational Prayer ministry teams. Like faith and life, it is a "work in progress"; by God's grace it has been sharpened and will always be open for further refinement.

This on site training is offered on a 90 day interval. The goals which are set are done by the Congregational Prayer Ministry team as led by their Pastor. My experience has been that our Pastors are very open to the help offered by church members in the area of Prayer ministry for Mercy and Multiplication. As Lutherans we believe that Prayer is the 6th function of the Priesthood of the Baptized, so this is discipleship in the truest sense of the word and not a program based approach.

Please feel free to use and adapt this form for your purposes. To consult regarding a Quarterly Congregational Prayer Ministry training, reach out to Pr. Jim at 2017housechurch@gmail.com
